Package: eudev
Version: 220:3.2.2-devuan2.2
Severity: grave
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Running Devuan ascii on a Dell Inspiron 1520.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Installed eudev package from experimental, replacing default udev.
* What was the outcome of this action?
After rebooting, the laptop successfully boots into the lightdm
login screen but the laptop keyboard/trackpad and external
USB keyboard are not responsive. Trying any special key combinations
on the keyboard has no effect (eg. alt+sysrq, ctrl+alt+del).
Booting into the "recovery mode" option in grub results in the
keyboard responding to input, allowing this bug report to be sent
via reportbug. Caps Lock LED on the laptop doesn't light up in
recovery mode but the functionality appears to toggle correctly
when the key is pressed.
Running "startx" from the recovery mode root prompt
again reaches the lightdm login screen successfully but
keyboard/trackpad/usb are now not responding again.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Input devices should be responding to user input.
