[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: appstream
Version: 0.15.4-1
Appstream based software managers such as KDE Discover and GNOME Software cannot seem to access any remote application data. These apps can handle package updates and manipulate repositories, however that is done through Packagekit anyway.
GNOME Software is able to display installed applications, however cannot be used to install applications with the "Explore" tab saying "No Application Data Found."
KDE Discover is able to manage add-ons/themes for Plasma, however there is no way to manage installed applications or install new ones.
This occurs on all editions of Devuan (Ceres, Chimera, and Daedalus), which makes me think there is an issue with the way the remote Appstream data itself is handled.

Hi,
Devuan doesn't provide AppStream metadata currently.
It might be possible to support this in the future either by proxying for
appstream.debian.org or adding support to amprolla.
In the meantime, you might be able to use Debian's data manually by following
the instructions at https://wiki.debian.org/AppStream.
