Thunderbird does not start when clicked on in the applications menu. When run 
in a terminal window, the error message pasted below is produced. This may be 
related to a bug report recently filed against the firefox-esr package.


(thunderbird:6940): Gtk-ERROR **: GTK+ 2.x symbols detected. Using GTK+ 2.x 
and GTK+ 3 in the same process is not supported
