Dear Maintainer,

I hit the same problem as described here:

The problem is not solved by updating to the latest version of
gnome-keyring due to problem desribed in the last comment:

"Looks like you have a non-functional installation of dbus-user-session
(which would put you in the same situation as people without that package
installed)..."

I did post about it in the forum
(https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=4544), but got no reply.

Any possible workaround?

Hello,

just a short update...mbsync can retrieve the password from
gnome-keyring by using the following cmd:

PassCmd "secret-tool lookup user someuser"

so, it looks it is also somehow related to msmtp...

However, as you have identified, this is a Debian issue and will need to be
fixed there. Devuan does not fork gnome-keyring and uses the Debian packages
directly without recompilation.

Please contribute to the Debian bug you found to get it fixed.
